Vehicle azimuth detector

Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately find the center point of a current vehicle azimuth by employing detection data which has a small error and is employed last time when integrated disorder becomes large although the disorder of an earth magnetism sensor is gentle. CONSTITUTION: When the detection of the earth magnetism sensor 3 is not disordered or small continuously, an azimuth variation difference discriminating means judges that the azimuth variation difference between 1st and 2nd azimuth variation detecting means is within a specific range. Further, the difference between integrated data which are integrated by 1st and 2nd integrating means is within a 2nd specific range, so a center point arithmetic means finds the center point of the current vehicle azimuth by using the detection sensor of the sensor 3. Then when it is judged that the azimuth variation difference between the 1st and 2nd azimuth variation detecting means exceeds the 1st specific range or that the difference between the integrated data of the 1st and 2nd integrating means is not within the 2nd specific range, the detection data of the sensor 3 is not employed, so the center point arithmetic means uses the detection data of the sensor 3 which is employed last time to find the center point of the current vehicle azimuth.
