Electrostatic precipitator

Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a discharge electrode difficult to be cut in comparison with a conventional method wherein a metallic wire has been utilized for the discharge electrode by constituting this discharge electrode of both a base plate made of the electrically insulated material and an electrically-conductive part provided on the face opposite to the counter electrode of this base plate. CONSTITUTION: An electrostatic precipitator is equipped with the discharge electrodes 23, the counter electrodes 22 arranged oppositely thereto and a high- voltage power source part 26 for impressing high voltage between these electrodes. The discharge electrode 23 is constituted of both a base plate 24 made of the electrically insulated material and an electrically-conductive part 25 provided on the face opposite to the counter electrode 22 of the base plate 24. As a result, the discharge electrode is made difficult to be cut in comparison with a conventional method wherein a metallic wire has been utilized for this discharge electrode.
